We are currently offering both a mix of telehealth and in-person office visits to our new and existing patients.
Telehealth visits are conducted over a secure HIPAA compliant, encrypted video platform and provide an excellent way to receive care while reducing risk associated with COVID-19 transmission.
The fundamental aspects of the work we do at Green Healing Wellness are efficiently and comprehensively carried via telemedicine.. Detailed history taking, ordering and interpretation of laboratory diagnostics and the delivery of comprehensive care plans are all possible through our telehealth services.
Our staff and providers are expertly trained to comprehensively coordinate and deliver all aspects of your care without you even stepping foot in our office.
Due to the current recommendations regarding reducing the spread of COVID-19 we are encouraging new and existing patients, when possible, to utilize our telemedicine services.
However, for situations that are most appropriate for in-person care, we have implemented a comprehensive set of procedures, policies and protective equipment to allow for the safe delivery of in-person care.
We have implemented several safety procedures for the protection of our patients, providers and staff as we expand beyond telemedicine services. Here are some of the steps we are taking to ensure a safe environment.
Installation of medical-grade air filtration systems in every treatment room, the waiting room and administration area.
After extensive research, Dr. Passero chose the highest quality medical grade air filtration units available on the market made by IQAir. These Swiss-made air filters were used in hospitals during the 2003 SARS epidemic and their effectiveness at removing SARS viral particles from the air was independently tested and verified by the Hong Kong health authority. These units are now being used around the world in medical facilities to protect people from COVID-19.
The IQAir HealthPro used at Green Healing Wellness features HyperHEPA filtration technology for superior airborne particle removal.
IQAir’s HyperHEPA filtration is tested and certified by an independent third-party lab to effectively filter 99.5% of harmful ultrafine pollution particles down to 0.003 microns in size. This is 100 times smaller than what is achieved with ordinary air filtration technology and 10 times smaller than a virus.
COVID-19 viral particles measure somewhere between 0.06 microns-1.4 microns, meaning the smallest airborne viral particles are NOT effectively filtered by standard medical-grade HEPA air purifiers which can only filter particles as small as 0.3 microns.
Only the HyperHEPA patented technology in the IQAir system is able to filter the smallest known COVID-19 particles out of the air.
While in operation, each IQAir system in our office will purify the room air 5-6x per hour. Having a unit in each room enables us to run the filtration system continuously while the room is occupied and allows us to position each filter within the room to create a wall of filtered air between the provider and patient.
