Description
Supplies L-5-Hydroxy-Tryptophan (5-HTP), the precursor to serotonin, a key neurotransmitter. Caution: Very high doses of 5-HTP can be metabolized peripherally and can trigger excess serotonin formation. 5-HTP is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women and should be avoided by those with any form of cardiovascular disease. 5-HTP should not be used by those taking serotonin, 5-HTP, or receptor agonists (naratriptan, sumatriptan, zolmitriptan).
Dosage
One (1) capsule one (1) to two (2) times each day as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
Active Ingredients
L-5-Hydroxy-Tryptophan, Superoxide Dismutase (from vegetable culture†), Catalase (from vegetable culture†). † Specially grown, biologically active vegetable culture containing naturally associated phytochemicals including polyphenolic compounds with SOD and catalase, dehydrated at low temperature to preserve associated enzyme factors.
Other Ingredients
Capsule shell (gelatin and water). This product is gluten, dairy and GMO free.
